Long Island Ragdolls is a small Ragdoll Cat Breeder located just outside of New York City in Nassau County, Long Island. We are just 40 minutes by car from Manhattan New York and are right off main roads so we are easy to find. We are proud to be a T.I.C.A. registered cattery. All of our Ragdoll kittens are raised with love and attention as our pets, they are never caged or locked away from people or our other Ragdolls. Our Ragdoll cats have the sweetest temperaments and love to be held. They usually like to fall asleep on our laps. All of our Ragdoll cats and kittens come with a full health guarantee against FelV and FIP. Our Ragdolls are Vet. checked and have had their first shot before they go home with you. If you have never seen a Ragdoll cat, then you are in for quite a treat. Ragdolls are large cats with medium to long fur that feels silky to the touch. Ragdolls are sweet cats that love people and will follow you around just to be near you. Ragdolls are listed in the "Guinness World Book of Records" as the largest domestic cat. This is our Sebastian ( Attique Sebastian of Long Island Ragdolls, New York ), a Chocolate Colorpoint cat with the ultimate Ragdoll temperament and a fabulously fluffy coat. At 3 years old, ( Ragdolls grow until they are 3 years old ) he is at least 17 pounds of gorgeous cat. Sebastian typifies the Ragdoll cat breed. He is large and powerful with a most striking appearance. With all of that, he is as gentle as a baby. Sebastian has to be seen to appreciate what a Ragdoll is. A Brief Note About Kittens and "Kitten Calls": Kittens, when we have them, go very quickly and we always have more people interested than kittens available.
We use the "first come, first serve" method for offering the chance to see and pick a kitten when they are ready to show, usually at 6 weeks old. Kittens are ready to go to new homes at 10 to 12 weeks of age AND when they weigh well OVER 2 pounds. All kittens are Vet. checked and have had their first shot before they go to new homes.
